This photo showing snow sifting down at the entrance of Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland (between Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, Maryland) was taken by Gail Skofronick-Jackson in January of 2008. Goddard is one of 11 NASA centers. 2009 is NASA’s 50th anniversary! NASA’s mission is to pioneer the future in space exploration, scientific discovery and aeronautics research.
